Is there any workaround for this? Should I just get a different mixer? I've only had this for a few days, so there's still time to return it. OK - well the Behringer umc204hd is a computer interface - but it does have other connections - one is designed for monitors, and you can run direct to the monitors so you dont get latency. But I'm also on mumble or something else, and if I plug a console or anything into it, it's effectively part of the microphone input and my friends will hear it through mumble, and that's undesirable. If I were streaming alone, this would be fine. I tried downloading the generic drivers from the website, but it effectively just changed the name of the device in the options. Well, I haven't found those options in my recording devices in Windows. It's not totally independent, but at least that seems to differentiate between the mic and the line inputs. I was under the impression that it did after reading an answered question about the 302USB saying that you can select either "Mic," "Sound Out," or "Both." I figured if the 302 has that option, the 502 must. The problem is that Windows (8.1) doesn't seem to recognize each channel from the mixer independently. Of course, I also have the mixer plugged into my computer via USB.
Here a use the Behringer Xenyx X1204 USB mixer to show how to connect to a. I have the microphone plugged into its respective port, my headphones plugged into the phones jack, and the "to phones" button pressed so I can hear audio from the computer. The install process asks me to plug in the USB source.
It’s good device for Mac and Linux, but perhaps not for Windows. Audio latency with this ‘unsupported’ driver seems poor - not better than ASIO4all. On the output side, the Behringer Xenyx Q502USB gives you mains, plus headphones and 2-track outs, while the USB port lets you plug right into your computer.
This Behringer ASIO Driver does not appear to be very good. Behringer XENYX Q802USB (USB audio) Behringer ASIO Driver.
The way I have it set up works if I just want it to act like a glorified headset. Behringer XENYX Q502USB (USB audio) Behringer ASIO Driver. A friend of mine has the 302 model and likes it but I wondered if there were any of you who had one and what you can tell me about the value of it. The problem is that I can't figure out a way to use it while on mumble without all the audio echoing back to my friends. Ive been thinking about getting this Behringer Xenyx Q502USB.I am interested in it because of the price, and Ive always like Behringer products.
Simple issue: I got a Behringer Xenyx Q502USB to use it as a kind of USB sound card.
